Currently, I prefer to sketch with pencil on 150-200gsm paper sketchbook.
For digital works, I use a UGEE pen-tablet and Krita open-source software.
A creative collaboration with Antidote Skateboards, skate company based in Arusha, Tanzania.
The concept was to design a deck for all levels of skater with an interest in japanese animation.
A survey was conducted to figure out what anime skaters and non-skaters would like to see on a board, then several iterations of the design were prepared and worked on over several months before arriving to this end product.
The release of the collaboration was incredibly successful, all decks selling out across Tanzania and Kenya. This helped Antidote introduce themselves on the African skating scene as a new player.
